The 2023–24 Season opens with a French Spectacular concert with the Cape Ann Symphony, with the women of New World Chorale singing the ethereal Debussy Nocturnes inspired by three James McNeill Whistler paintings. The Nocturnes are considered one of Debussy’s most accessible and popular works, admired for their beauty and for holding new possibilities and wonder upon repeated hearings.
